Specialized in aerial cradle and hand to hand as a base, his acrobatics skills allow him to perform in such disciplines as chinese pole, flying trapeze or acrobatic bicycle. Through his years he has developed an ease in theatrical performance which brought him to embody intense characters that can be funny, sad or elegant. Has been immersed in the circus world since her childhood. Daughter of circus artists she will learn acrobatics, fixed trapeze and houla-hoop from artists during the tours with her parents. In parallel, Maïa did 10 years of gymnastics but preferred to continue in less competitive field of circus. In 2018 she joined Châtellerault circus option in France where she specialized in aerial cradle. Aerobatics became a real passion for her and carried her to the Québec circus school.
From 2021 to 2024, this school will allow her to perfect herself as an aerial frame flyer, hand to hand and flying trapeze. During this training, she developed her artistic identity by playing intense characters and telling their stories in her numbers. Throughout her formation, Maïa had the opportunity to perform on stage in cabarets, Christmas shows or contemporary circus companies. Finally, Maïa is now a generalist artist with her own artistic signature.
We met during our studies at the National Circus School of Châtellerault. Our duo was born from a shared desire to work in duets or groups. We both loved hand-to-hand acrobatics, but we were also drawn to performing aerial acts.
That’s what led us to aerial cradle.
We quickly realized that we shared the same vision of circus and had similar artistic tastes. We enjoy portraying intense, often somewhat strange characters.
In our acts, we try to tell stories through the lives of these strong characters while highlighting some of society's flaws. Our inspiration often comes from the world of cinema.
We have our own artistic signature, but we also enjoy performing in acts where the story is less important than the aesthetics and poetry.
